Best Oral and Poster Award
ReadyToPub – Author Services Provider will award a prize to the best oral and poster presented by a student (PhD, MS or Bachelor) during the ICFS 2024. Selection will be based on five criteria: Scientific Innovation; Applicability of results; Clarity of presentation; Design and general appearance; Potential for publication.
The award will consist of a 500€ credit (best oral communication) and 300€ credit (best poster communication) for the student to spend on ReadyToPub services and will be announced during the Closing Ceremony.

The winner of the Best Oral Communication was Pedro Almeida, with the communication “Development of a chewing gum with Actinidia arguta extract as an innovative mitigation strategy for firefighters occupational exposure”
The winner of the Best Poster Communication was Inês Sousa, with the communication “Estimating hidden infestations in rice by measuring carbon dioxide levels”
